Intention, Projection and Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

Just a note in reference to "Personal Experiences of Sychronicity, Mind Over Matter, etc." and the experience of anyone sensitive to synchronicity.

Harry Palmer started the Avatar Program several years ago which is now an international, world-wide organization. In his works, "Resurfacing" and "Living Deliberately", many times he emphasizes the importance of "intentionality"; or simply, intent, which stresses that the creation of reality begins with conscious intent which is projected into the matrix of life, ultimately resulting in the Pygmalian Effect, as it's known within the Humanistic schools of Psychology, more commonly referred to as the "Self-Fulfilling Prophecy". In one respect, this possibly helps to explain why something happens in our external reality that, in some way or another, immediately corresponds to something upon which our thinking is most intent.

One "hard-core" scientific explanation for this is what's called the "reticular formation" in the brain itself, that apparently plays a critical role in the scanning process of the conscious and subconscious mind. Again, because of the intensity of focus on any given subject, this reticular function of the brain sorts out and identifies any variables that may be inter-related to one's intent.

Anyone interested in more information on this subject might try searching the web using any of the keywords referred to in the above.

John McDaveymore :-)
