I'm in the process of going through a divorce, and a changve of jobs. I am feeling really stressed out right now and was wondering what other people's experience has been with these CDs for stress. I just ordered the book and CD and am hoping it will help. Is there anything else I should be doing? I feel like I'm eating razor blades.

Really notice your breath. Be sure you breathe deeply, using your abdomen. Practice being in the moment, without allowing yourself to go back or forward in time. The book will help you with that. Meditate, preferably twice a day for about 20 minutes. If you can't exercise, at least stretch a few times a day. All this will really help.

When you get the book and CD, READ at least the first half of it before listening to the CD.

Divorce is hell. Job change is hell. Just try not to succumb to addictive substances to get yourself through because that only prolongs the agony. If you haven't made a run to your doctor for antidepressants or antianxiety meds, try Valerian root (calming) or St. John's Wort (antidepressant) first. Buy a copy of The Nutrition Almanac at your health food store, though, and check out its recommendations based on your particular health situation. Get some Flor-Essence tea and take it according to directions.

I strongly recommend the book "Radical Forgiveness" by Colin Tippin. It will help give you an enlarged perspective on what is happening right now.

BTW, I got the Ultimate Meditation series and all that came with that, and I've been very pleased with it. Once things get more stable for you, and you've had a chance to work with the book and CD like Dane says, there's more if you want to get it. And it feels really wonderful. Like having your brain massaged. That's another thing: get thee to a massage therapist to work some of the stress out of your muscles.
