View Full Version : Listening Medium Overlay and the Entrainment Matrix

Began using the Brain SuperCharger more than a month ago. Because of the precision sound design that went into creating this program, I decided to start using the UltaMeditation CD program. Since beginning the U-M adventure I've noticed a distinct variance in the sychronization of the "foreground" listening medium and the deeper low-frequency sound modulations used in the neuro-entrainment matrix. Sometimes the frequency modulation speeds up and then suddenly slows down with apparently little or no consistency. Although this fluctuation is within either the Alpha or Theta range, the sudden shift from one range to the other and back again seems somewhat frenetic. This is also evident on the Mayan Sun Ritual, one of the Transcendent Mind Series CDs.
On a thumbnail, some of the CDs seem more precision-synchronized than the others. Is there a specific reason for this sound pattern on some and not others, or could this be an inadvertent maladjustment during the recording session? The sudden shift from one range to another and back again just as suddenly has the feeling of precisionless inaccuracy on the part of the engineer. Please understand that I'm not intentionally being negative or overly analytical here, I'm only attempting to be objective. :-)

I don't know about this. I haven't noticed it myself. But I'm reminded of the notes to Jim Oliver's Healing Harmonies CDs. He says sometimes the harmonics are deliberately constrained or stretched in order to coax the mind into a different pattern. Perhaps Dane can address this. I expect, though, as well as these CDs have been made, it has been deliberately done for a reason.

Began using the Brain SuperCharger more than a month ago. Because of the precision sound design that went into creating this program, I decided to start using the UltaMeditation CD program. Since beginning the U-M adventure I've noticed a distinct variance in the sychronization of the "foreground" listening medium (level 3), and the deeper low-frequency sound modulations used in the neuro-entrainment matrix.
Is there a specific reason for this asynchronous and irregular modulation pattern that can potentially produce a dysrhythmic effect on the heart and/or brain, or could this be an inadvertent maladjustment during the recording session? The sudden shift from one range to another and back again just as suddenly has the feeling of precisionless inaccuracy on the part of the engineer. Please understand that I'm not intentionally being negative or overly analytical here, I'm only attempting to find an objective interpretation of this apparent anomaly. :-)

John McDaveymore

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe the perceived slow down and speed up is actually your mind slowing and speeding? Slowing when you stop thinking and speeding up when you try think..ie judge the experience. Let go and enjoy the ride.
