I spend the greater part of the day at my computer. Why not use the CDs and headphones while I'm working at my machine? I know it ain't laying-down and "meditational" and all... but so what? Now, I'm talking about in addition to "meditational" listening, not instead of it.

You could do that okay with CDs designed for that purpose, but if you try something like the UM CDs, I expect you wouldn't be able to get much work done. The neuroentrainments slow down your brainwaves, which for meditation is good, but for beta-state-type working, not!

I once tried listening to one of my UM CDs as "background" music while I was answering email, and it gave me a headache. I mean, try it if you want to to see what happens, but my suspicion is that it won't do you any good.

Diane
