I am seventeen, and have a very overactive imagination. There is hardly one point in the day when I can think clearly and I believe the only time I ever have only one thought in my mind is during sleep. I also have had depression for a couple of years and am taking anti-depressants but they do not seem to be working very well, and I think it is because of my problem of not being able to just shut down and be happy inside. I heard about meditation, and as I lead a fairy fast paced lifestyle, I started to conclude that I wouldn't have the time to do it. However, I came across Ultra Meditation which apparnetly takes you from a complete beginner, to a master meditator in less than a year. This sounds very exciting for me and I was wondering if anyone can just back up the claims of the program. Has anyone used it and what did you think? Would such a program benefit someone like me (I would definitly go through with the whole program)? What long term beniefits does Ultra-meditation give you, and when will I start to notice them?
In some of the more advanced sessions, it says you will experience Near Death Experiences. I know that NDEs and Out of Body Experiences are closely linked, and I myself have experienced an Out of body experience and found it terrifying (my fear of the unknown). Would I be scared if I have one during meditation and how common is it?
Thanks, I hope someone can answer my questions.
