I know this product would probably be very expensive to develop and make, but this is what I wish I had. (If anyone knows of something that's out there like this, please let me know.)

I want monitor glasses with huge display (like the ones that have been reviewed that say you can see a spreadsheet that looks like it's as big as the room). I'd want to have the capability to run a screen-saver type program without being hooked into my desktop computer--preferably one read off a CD and at least somewhat customizable by me on my desktop. The program I'd want to run is Snoqualmie from Syntrillium Software, which has some of the most stunningly beautiful color displays I've ever seen.

My idea of a real good time would be lying on my bed with monitor glasses on, headphones and UM CDs going, just being really blown away by the sound and color. I know the Mind Machine uses flashing lights in various sequences to accomplish changes, but what would happen if your brain were responding to Living Kaleidoscope set to 11 or 18 reflections?

I saw a brief blip in a magazine the other day on the use of virtual reality glasses in dental offices to help distract patients from pain. I'm wondering if what I described above would not be great for home use by people with chronic pain. The more customizable the combination of sound and vision, the better, I think, so the person could put together what works best for them.

Anyway, just wishing.

Diane
