(Oops, this was (also) posted under the Affirmations conversation, where it doesn't belong. To the powers behind this forum, feel free to eradicate the other posting...)

Newbie questions/comments:

I just received the Ultra Meditation etc. suite, 26 CDs.

(1) Three of the CDs do not say to use headphones -- the Mission, Mind Power and Perfect Life. Was it an oversight? Do I need the headphones for these?

(2) How do I tell whether the CDs are defective within the 30 day deadline? I'm not supposed to listen to some of them until after 30 days, right? And even if I do, 30 days isn't a lot of time to perform quality assurance on 26 CDs. BTW, the brochure indicated that the physical form of the library would be a handsome addition to my own library, but the packaging, while beautifully illustrated, is physically quite shoddy. I don't collect cardboard cereal boxes, even nicely illustrated ones, and would have expected something more durable for these CDs. Just looking at the folders seems to make the CDs slip out. This might explain some of the 'defective CDs'... I would be happier with a longer 'guarantee' time and with more functional packaging -- feel free to send some!

(3) Perhaps this (and some of the above, too?) is covered in the book (which I've just started), but how do I tell whether it's time to move to the Ultra Meditation's 3d and 4th CDs (for daily practise). Similarly, are there recommendations as to how to fold in the use of the other CDs if my 'primary practice' is the Ultra Meditation series?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carl - Here's some feedback.

1) Those 3 CDs are audio seminars (headphones not required)

2) Don't worry. The CDs AREN'T defective. If by some chance you got a bad one, the warranty is good for a year.

3) You can add the different flavors into your program whenever you wish. It's just recommended to start with UM #1 for the first 30-60 days (to get your mind prepped). I've been doing it for 4 months now, and have sampled them all. I usually work with my 2 favorites and ocassionally add in something new.

Stick with it...this program is awesome!
