Seizures

Dane <BR>Can you tell me more about the warning that SuperCharger and Mozart could cause seizures. I had been using both daily for 2 weeks, but had a short, momentary seizure last Thursday (apparently unrelated - 5 hours after listening, and I can't seem to shake the residual funny feelings in the head. I stopped using them a few days ago, but would like to restart. <BR>I bought them on the theory that sound might stimulate my inner visualization. I've had hydrocephalus for 26 years and finally had a shunt installed 3 years ago when it became apparent that I was losing some mental functions, ie on the neuropsych tests my IQ/cognitive is still 135/99th percentile, but my visual/spatial orientation is at 41, and visual recall is 3 - meaning I've got no pictures, and I go around talking to myself. I'm an experienced meditator/mystic ( Master's in Transpersonal Psychology) plus scientist (have worked with mainframe computers for 36 years), and I'm just trying to find ways to work around some of these problems. <BR>Thanks <BR>Ted Goodrich

Ted, what kind of seizure did you have? More motor or sensory? Do you have them at other times, or was it brought on for the first time after using the CDs? <BR> <BR>I have a seizure disorder--nocturnal simple and complex partials with occasional secondary generalization to a tonic seizure--but I chanced it and ploughed into UM and SC anyway. Also got the Mind Machine today and have been playing with it for hours. <BR> <BR>I have had fewer seizures since starting all this, not more. I am NOT photosensitive and show no changes on hyperventilation on the EEG, however; my anomaly is more theta slowing bilaterally in the temporal and frontal lobes with a few left temporal lobe spikes. (I would tell anyone who is photosensitive definitely to avoid the Mind Machine!) <BR> <BR>I have a master's in social work, by the way, and am also interested in transpersonal psychology.
