I've owned Dr. Jeffrey Thompson's Brain Wave Suite for a number of years. The CDs (Alpha, Alpha-Theta, Theta, and Delta) are nice to listen to, and I basically used them the same way I use the UM CDs now, and they were relaxing and helped me sleep. But after a while, I put them down and didn't use them anymore.

A good friend the other day asked me if Dane's UM series is as good as the hype or if it's just "crapola." So I thought, well, I really love the UM set but maybe it isn't any better than the other stuff I've got; maybe I'm fooling myself about how good it is.

So I got out the Brain Wave Suite and plugged in to the Alpha-Theta CD. I was totally amazed to discover that I've reached an entirely different level of processing, apparently, because the CD had a greatly enhanced effect on me this time around. I don't think it's intrinsic to the Brain Wave Suite. I think using Dane's UM and mind machine have retextured my brain to a degree that now, whatever I listen to (or see or sense) impacts my brain and sets up internal resonances that are quite different from pre-UM experiences. I get the very strong sense that UM has effected very strong neurophysiological changes in me. I just wish I were plugged in to some research somewhere so I could find out exactly what.

Anyway, I was delighted to realize that I have more great stuff to listen to now as I do my Mind Warrioring work. And, no, Dane's stuff is not "crapola"! :)

Diane
